For this type of charcoal, commonly in Indonesia, it is one of the most well-known charcoal of any charcoal and charcoal briquettes types. As there are abundants sources of coconuts shell which are available easily in Indonesia, this charcoal is relatively cheaper compare to others. After the shells are gathered, the remaining left of coconut's meat are being cleaned, as well as separating the fiber.


Then it goes to dry process under the sun naturally, to decrease any moisture left inside the shells. After it has been dried, the coconut shell is being carbonized by burning it on several hours or even days, depends on the specification and our needs..

However, in terms of raw material demands, it is also being used as biomass fuel for power plan and agriculture usage.
